Honey we’re home!!!

October 8th, 2009

Oh wow!!!

Just checking in with you guys. I promised myself I wouldn’t blog again until we had the internet at home… and it’s just this minute been connected.

Dinner has just finished cooking, Gazelle is on the phone to Uncle Lee and I’m eavesdropping on their conversation… and I’ve just found out we’re having him and Nan round for dinner next Sunday… or was that Saturday… and Ma? I’ll check what he puts in the diary. It’s good to eavesdrop… sometimes…

It’s been a long haul, but we’re in the house and we’ve finally been reconnected to the online world. Our white goods arrived today so as of this weekend I can start baking again! I’m so excited… it’s been way too long. I’ve got a list of recipes I can’t wait to try out… and I’m going to attempt a Gluten free diet next month, for the whole month – which means a lot more cooking :) . Ruth reckons it might help with my Seborrhoeic Dermatitis. We’ll see.

I’ve got to go now, got work to do, stuff to upload as I’ve not been able to check my work mail for weeks… well, there’s that and I’m hungry. I can hear Gazelle dishing out dinner…

Stay blessed!

March of Repentance

July 15th, 2009

Ok, so it’s not exactly wedding related, but at 4 weeks and counting down, I need to shift my focus for a minute and remember what’s really important.

If you’re not busy this Saturday (18th July), come and join me on the March of Repentance (it’s a Christian march for Godly change in the Church and in our Nation)… for details click on the image below.

March of Repentance

God willing I’ll see you there.

Peace ‘n’ Blessings!

Not long now…

May 24th, 2009

Just to whet your appetite, and because we’ve taken a little while with the invites, we’re treated you to a sneak peak at what should be flying into your hands in the jolly month of June…

I took a big break from blogging after Grandma died (may she rest in peace), but now I’m back with Darren (Gazelle) in tow. We’ve got less than three months to our big day and it’s starting to get a little hectic. There’s still quite a fair bit to do, but as an old friend pointed out the other day, I probably wouldn’t have it any other way! :D

… and with no further ado, I give you, “The Goode Stuff”. A photo blog, family’ and friends newsletter, a ‘what’s new with you’ pitstop… Darren and I (like most people) lead busy lives and don’t stay in touch with friends and family as often as we should and we’re hoping that this ‘portal’ will help us to do that. So whenever we have a  little soirée – birthdays, reunions, Christmas gatherings… weddings,  that sort of thing , or just any exciting (or not so exciting) news, the details should be available on this site.

I’ve got to go now. Need to get ready for Church. I’ll be back in a few days. Here’s praying for the start of a beautiful thing…

Peace and Blessings,

Adefunke (Finké)
